Fowler Road Playground, by Osbourne Gardens, Aylesbury – damaged play equipment

Reported via mobile in the Playground category anonymously at 12:36, Saturday 15 August 2026

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9952144.

Several pieces of play equipment are damaged. The climbing equipment has several ropes that have completely snapped, with sharp internal strands/wires exposed at the broken ends which could cut or injure a child. The rope swing also has a damaged/frayed section with a sharp strand protruding.

The two large swings have also been damaged for some time. Both were previously hanging by only one chain each. One swing is now missing completely, and the remaining swing has chains wrapped/looped around the top beam and fittings. I do not know whether this has been made safe or inspected.

The baby swing is also loose and appears to need inspecting/repairing.

Photos are attached showing some of the damage. Please could the play equipment be inspected and made safe as soon as possible, as children are still able to access it.
