Urgent - GAS CANISTERS DUMPED outside Londis

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping (off-road) category anonymously at 16:32, Friday 31 July 2026

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9879321.

I am writing to report a serious case of fly-tipping directly outside our business, which requires urgent attention. A large number of gas canisters have been dumped beside the public litter bin immediately outside our shop. This is not only an eyesore but also presents a significant health and safety risk to members of the public, our customers, neighbouring businesses, and our staff. As a local convenience store, we work incredibly hard to maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone who visits. We take great pride in our business and the surrounding area, so it is deeply upsetting to arrive and find such irresponsible behaviour taking place on our doorstep. Customers walking past are understandably concerned, and this reflects unfairly on our shop despite us having absolutely nothing to do with the dumped waste. The number of canisters abandoned suggests this was a deliberate act of fly-tipping rather than a few items left behind. Given that these appear to be gas canisters, there are understandable concerns regarding their safe disposal. They should not be left in a public area where children, members of the public, or anyone else could interfere with them. In addition, the waste encourages further littering and gives the impression that the area is neglected, which is extremely disheartening for businesses like ours that invest considerable time and effort into keeping the neighbourhood clean. Our business serves the local community every single day, and we genuinely care about the appearance and safety of the area. We should not have to deal with the consequences of individuals who choose to dispose of hazardous waste irresponsibly. It is frustrating that responsible businesses are left facing the negative impact of actions beyond our control. I would be extremely grateful if this could be treated as a priority and arranged for removal as soon as possible. Cont' in update
