Blocked drain on the bend near Parmoor Cricket Club
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 15:21, Thursday 2 July 2026
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9722859.
Once again, the drain on the bend is blocked with mud. It is a frequent occurence and needs cleaning out more regularly until a permanent fix is done. If this drain is full, water floods the surrounding area and runs down the lane towards Parmoor Chase, and overwhelms the drain at Parmoor Chase, leading to flooding of property. This has already happened twice in recent weeks. Please can this drain be cleared out and the mud removed from the area as soon as possibe. Thank you

This has been passed to the Highway Officer to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
The Highway Officer is only able to inspect the drain when the water has cleared away, this will be done within 10 days and if required, an order will be raised to clear the drain.

An order has been raised to repair the issue reported, this will be a permanent repair to be carried out as soon as possible. However, there are occasions when a temporary repair is carried out for safety reasons until such time as we can mobilise resources to make the repair permanent.
To ensure the highway network remains as safe as possible we will continue to carry out our regular Highways Safety Inspections which will include this issue until such times as the permanent repair is made
