Bridleway on the north side of the canal near to kingsbrook. Between the bridge at Broughton to the footbridge heading towards merry field farm

Reported via mobile in the Vegetation surface growth category anonymously at 18:27, Wednesday 1 July 2026

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9717550.

I was cycling westbound along the bridle way from Merrymead farm towards the Grand Union Canal. To start with it was fine but it soon became thick vegetation. After the gate at SP8592 1427 the growth became so thick it obscured the path completely. It consisted of thistles, brambles and nettles. Further along the path at the gate at a wooden gate the path was almost waist deep with nettles. After this gate was a field where the thistles were constant and very deep making seeing the path impossible. These conditions continued until the canal bridge. Before the bridge the path was also partially blocked by the Heras fencing surrounding the building site at kingsbrook.
