Footpath from RedBarn Farm where it arrives at the coppice at the bottom of the field

On following the footpath from the farm you turn right and follow the signs to the bottom of the hill to the side of a coppice. `Here the footpath sign shows going half left to the side of the coppice but the way is obstructed by signs saying private property and one of the 2 paths has wire over it and the other has had a ditch dug to obstruct the path. We had to turn back as there was now way to proceed. On checking the map on our return it seems the path goes hard left along the hedge and left again at the next hedge ( the opposite direction to the signpost on the gate). Pls can the signs be rectified Thanks
