Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9261135.
The speed bump is difficult to see, particularly at night and limiting lamp. The surface markings are not sufficiently reflective or visible, and there is no clear advance warning signage before reaching the bump.
Lighting in the area is poor, causing the bump to blend into the road surface and making it hazardous for cyclists and other users.
I was cycling through this location on 26 August 2025 at 11 pm and did not see the speed bump in time due to these visibility issues, resulting in a collision and injury.
The bump appears to be a modular (bolt-down) type and may be too abrupt for safe cycling, especially without proper visibility measures.
This presents an ongoing safety risk and should be addressed by improving lighting, adding clear warning signage, and enhancing road markings.

The Street Lighting Team aim to repair all faulty lighting within 20 working days, however, there may be some circumstances that this time for repairs is be extended. For example, if it is an electricity supply fault, this will be passed to the local electricity network operator to attend and rectify as we cannot work on their network, in these cases we will update you to let you know it is an electricity supply fault.
