Bierton Road / Douglas Road Roundabout.

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9238930.
There are currently road works with a road closure in place on the Oakfield Road. The roadworks are situated on the A4157 Oakfield Road, between the traffic lights for Bellingham Way / Stocklake and the Aldi store. (see photo) There is a temporary road sign on the A418 Bierton Road that states that the A4157 Douglas Road is closed, (see photos) this clearly isn't the case. You can, as I have just done, drive down from the A418 from Bierton and turn right into Stocklake. (I could have also turned left into Bellingham Way had I wished to) As if diversions aren't bad enough, the council with this very misleading sign are just making the traffic problem around Aylesbury even worse with the totally inaccurate signage. I shudder to think how much of tax payers money is spent on temporary signage that is totally inaccurate. Does nobody check these details before sending the order off to the sign makers?? I have not driven around all the other road closed signs that have been erected to check them out but I'm guessing they will all be just as misleading. Total disgrace from the council.!
