Yet another road closed not removed after works were completed
Reported via desktop in the Unauthorised signs category by Ruth Fowler at 13:26, Saturday 7 March 2026
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9063601.
On the morning on 6th March, Bucks Highways closed the road from The Lee to Swan Bottom between approx 9:00 - 10:30 am, in order to carry out patch repairs at Swan Bottom Crossroads. As soon as the work was finished the road was reopened, with the closure signs at Swan Bottom and The Lee Green being removed. Unfortunately one sign was left, it is in the field entrance on the NE side of the road, opposite the junction of footpath TLE/48/2 with the road.

The Highway Officer will attend the site plotted on the map and make arrangements for the unauthorised sign to be removed.
As part of our highway management strategy, unauthorised signs will be removed from the highway, removal will be prioritised according to highway safety, resource requirements and the interests of the community. The Council may exercise their discretion not to enforce in some situations (e.g., small scale charity events).
These signs will be held for 28 days and there will be a storage fee of the unauthorised signs that do not comply with this policy where applicable.
