Dumped Trailer

Someone dumped a trailer full of junk here at 5:30 PM on Monday 2nd March.
I was on my run and saw a white van with two men in it pulling a trailer full of junk. The trailer had a faulty left wheel and the tyre was throwing up acrid black smoke as it was driving, then they pulled in just outside the entrance to Hughenden Park on Coates Lane just as I was running in myself. I tried to catch their numberplate as I had my suspicions, but I couldn't see it and I thought it would be too dangerous to stop to get it, given that the two men were present. As I entered Hughenden Park, their van was parked there and the trailer was still attached.
When I ran along the same route today, the trailer had been left behind.
I log my runs on Strava and so I can see that it was 5:28 PM as I ran past them at the entrance to Hughenden Park, and they were travelling down Hughenden Boulevard and Coates Lane before that. I first spotted them at around 5:22 outside Hugheden Gardens Village.
It's likely that other people got their number plate or captured them on dashcam and would remember it because of the black smoke and the fact that the trailer was visibly dangerous and not road legal. I suspect there's a case for charging the perpetrators with dangerous driving as well as fly tipping.
I'll try to get a picture tomorrow when I next go along that route.
