Blocked drain causing flooding on road

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 14:29, Wednesday 18 February 2026

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8948215.

There is a drainage issue on Cressex Road where rainwater consistently accumulates and fails to drain away following any period of rainfall.

As can be seen in the attached photograph, a large pool of standing water collects along the kerb line and across the carriageway. The water does not disperse in a reasonable timeframe and only dries out naturally after an extended period of dry weather.

This issue has already been reported to Thames Water, who have confirmed that this drain does not fall within their responsibility and have advised to contact Buckinghamshire Council as the relevant highway authority.

Please can the Council investigate the drain at this location, identify the cause of the poor water clearance, and carry out any necessary works to resolve the issue.

This report is now closed to updates from the public. You can make a new report in the same location.
