Illegal parking when there are notices advising parking restrictions

Reported via desktop in the Parking in a restricted space category anonymously at 13:37, Wed 24 December 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8589126.

Drivers illegally parking in contravention of the parking restriction signs. People living opposite the illegal parking find it particularly difficult to exit their drives because of thoughtless drivers. Does the council not owe a duty of care to the local residents who, by the way also pay council tax and endure abuse and difficulty in getting in and out of their drives as a result of those who are thoughtless and entitled?

Updates

  • This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.

Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
