Drainage Outlet to brook
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 06:13, Tue 9 December 2025
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8520648.
The drainage outlet to brook has a metal plate that when under water would not flow as the flow of brook would block it would it be better with bars like others down the brook especially with now being linked to 61-62 houses that have been built.
Updates

This has been passed to the Highway Officer to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
The Highway Officer is only able to inspect the drain when the water has cleared away, this will be done within 10 days and if required, an order will be raised to clear the drain.

Update
We have fully investigated your report, however, we have been unable to identify a safety issue relating to a blocked drain.
This may mean the issue has already been inspected and resolved, or that it does not present any immediate safety to the public as during heavy rainfall some drains/gulley's may take longer to empty this is perfectly normal.
