Damaged salt grit bin on Ruckles Way
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8375705.
This is an essential grit salt bin to keep Ruckles Way safe and clear for access in winter. The container has been badly damaged in several places so that the grit salt leaks out and cannot be stored properly. Please could it be replaced with a new container before freezing conditions arrive?

This has been passed to our Winter Maintenance Team.
If a salt bin is damaged beyond repair, we will order a new one. But this can take up to 28 days during the winter months when demand is high, or longer if stocks are low.

Update
The Highway Officer has carried out an inspection and has identified that there is no immediate safety issues requiring attention, the decision is that no action will be taken at this stage.
The issue will be added to a package of works to be carried out at a later date.
Please note that all our roads are subject to regular Highways Safety Inspections, and all highway safety issues identified are actioned within the timescales set out in our policy.
