Flags throughout Chalfont St Giles.
Reported via mobile in the Unauthorised signs category anonymously at 09:28, Tuesday 28 October 2025
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 month, 1 week, 11 hours, 31 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 8346531.
For the 100th time please take the flags down. If you’re not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. The lack of action after a month from the parish and county council is extremely telling, alarming and disappointing.

The Highway Officer will attend the site plotted on the map and make arrangements for the unauthorised sign to be removed.
As part of our highway management strategy, unauthorised signs will be removed from the highway, removal will be prioritised according to highway safety, resource requirements and the interests of the community. The Council may exercise their discretion not to enforce in some situations (e.g., small scale charity events).
These signs will be held for 28 days and there will be a storage fee of the unauthorised signs that do not comply with this policy where applicable.

Thank you for your recent communication regarding flags in Buckinghamshire.
The Local Area Technician (LAT) regularly attends the area to inspect the road network and also in response to reports received via FixMyStreet and will raise orders to keep the condition of the highway safe in line with our Highways Safety inspection policy.
We are closely monitoring the situation regarding flags and any such additions that are not approved will be assessed for removal, with our priority being to deal with any that might cause a public safety issue, such as a dangerous obstruction or highway visibility being removed as soon as possible. We have no current plans to remove anything not causing a danger or obstruction from the highway network at this time however we continue to monitor the situation regarding flags raised across the county.Posted by Buckinghamshire Council at 09:20, Wednesday 3 December 2025
