NLO18 footpath access problem from Bletchley Road, Newton Longvillle
Reported via iOS in the Other rights of way issue category by Cllr Mike Chapman at 09:08, Tuesday 30 September 2025
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8231718.
Steep slope up to and down from PRoW NLO18 and Bletchley Road is impassable during autumn/winter months due to a combination of the surface clay and the incline.
As discussed with the Rights of Way team at the Buckinghamshire Council Highways stakeholders’ conference on 29/09/2025, this footpath issue dates back to the closure of PRoW NLO18 by the East West Rail Alliance in late 2020. EWRA denied responsibility but the profile of the steep slope and the surface was found to have changed when the path was reopened tue following year. This was an issue discussed between the Buckinghamshire Council EWR team, EWRA and Newton Longville Parish Council for more than a year and was left with Aylesbury to resolve. It appears to have been missed.
