Middle, and each end of Penn Drive, Bowyer Crescent, St Mary’s Road, Junction of Greentiles and A412 and Denham Avenue outside Half Acre

Reported via desktop in the Unauthorised signs category anonymously at 12:08, Fri 12 September 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 3 weeks, 4 hours, 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8156637.

Sorry, this is not technically Flytipping, please pass on to the relevant Highways Maintenance team. There is not a category for this. The above locations are only a few, there are about 20 locations in Denham whereby the road maintenance has long finished about 4-6 weeks ago. Please collect as some is even rusty and getting grown over by vegetation.

Updates

  • Reports of fly-tipping on public land are forwarded to the waste collection team for removal, and all reports are copied to the investigation team to review.

  • The Highway Officer will attend the site plotted on the map and make arrangements for the unauthorised sign to be removed.

As part of our highway management strategy, unauthorised signs will be removed from the highway, removal will be prioritised according to highway safety, resource requirements and the interests of the community. The Council may exercise their discretion not to enforce in some situations (e.g., small scale charity events).

These signs will be held for 28 days and there will be a storage fee of the unauthorised signs that do not comply with this policy where applicable.

  • Update

Buckinghamshire Highways operates two types of highway maintenance, both have the same objectives which are to put in place the right road and transport infrastructure to enable residents, visitors, and businesses to move around the county in a safe and efficient way.

  • 1. General Maintenance overseen by the Highway Local Area Technicians, who assess all customer enquiries and take the appropriate action.

    2. Capital Maintenance Projects, these are longer-term projects for maintaining the Council highways. The Capital Maintenance Projects are all agreed by elected members in Buckinghamshire and overseen by the Capital Maintenance Project Team.

The Local Area Technician has assessed this enquiry and forwarded the details to the Capital Maintenance Team as this is one of their bigger projects.
