Woodway, at the junction with Wardrobes Lane

Reported via iOS in the Unauthorised signs category anonymously at 19:11, Thursday 28 August 2025

Sent to Lacey Green Parish Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8087924.

“Urgent”. There are a pair of yellow “Diverted traffic” signs, as indicated in the photos. One is on the descent down Woodway and tells drivers to “turn right” into Wardrobes Lane, a single track lane. The other sign is in Wardrobes Lane and tells drivers to “turn left” up Woodway. These are signs that should have been collected by the Traffic Management company several weeks ago, once the several days of 24/7 closure of Pink Road for roadworks, ended.

Removal of these signs is urgent because of the current series of weeknight closures of the main A4010 Wycombe Road for major resurfacing work. There is no official diversion route for motorists, some of whom are ending up making their way off piste during the night, including ending up coming down Woodway. The Diverted traffic” sign on Woodway is highly misleading and confusing.

Updates

  • The problem was fixed, but not until approximately one week after it was reported. It should have been fixed more urgently in my opinion.
