Overgrown hedge across pavement so pedestrians need to walk close to main road

Reported via desktop in the Hedge problem category anonymously at 13:39, Friday 15 August 2025

Sent to Wooburn and Bourne End Parish Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8030085.

The hedge on Wycombe Lane opposite houses 35-37 has grown sideways over the years and now severely obstructs pedestrians so they need to almost walk on the kerb of a very busy main road, which itself narrows at the worst point of the hedge overgrowth. Pedestrians cannot pass each other without stepping into the road.

Updates

  • I would like to report this same issue as the Laurel hedge that falls on to Buckinghamshire Council owned land is way to overgrown, this also does not fall under Devolved Services as it is not a mown grass area.
