Parking on the bend and on the pavement

Reported via mobile in the Parking on a footpath category anonymously at 09:13, Thu 14 August 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8023422.

Often between 3-5 cars at the same time parked on the pavement and on the bend- it is quite a dangerous bend and you cannot see what is coming to the hill until right on top of the white car. This has been happening for nearly 6months now, a lady with a child had to climb a grassy bank while leaning on one of their cars just so she could try and get her daughter (aged around 3/4) down the road as not safe to walk on road. They don’t care how or where they park, they turn on peoples driveways and they do 3 point turns on the bend ! It is an accident waiting to happen. There is plenty of room at the back of their house to park at least 3/4 cars and they can park down Robinson road much more safely. They have also dug out the bank to make a parking space and yet they are not using it (although I am pretty sure that land they have sug out belongs to highways and not them. As we had to ask permission to get our steps fixed as they don’t belong to us.

Updates

  • This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.

Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
