HUGE overgrown weed problem on Severalls Avenue.

All the way down Severalls Avenue weeds are thriving. These are growing from gulleys, in between paving slabs and also from holes in the pavement. This is damaging the structural integrity of the pavement and causing accessibility issues for road users. In addition, the silt and mud from these weeds when it rains causes slippery and dangerous conditions for cars and pedestrians. This has been and issue for over 3 months now. Please resolve this ASAP.

  • A Highway Officer will carry out an inspection within the next 10 working days, some weeds due to their location may require a specialist equipment for safety reasons, if your Highway Officer is unable to clear the weeds on site, they will arrange for the specialist team carry out the work, which in some cases can take up to 28 days.
