Evidence of a fire with burnt materials in a dug hole

A fire had been lit here. Smoke was smelled Saturday when walking through the main path but no sign of a fire. Today walking the dirt path on the other side of the stream this ‘fire pit’ was found. Much litter around this area Concern due to drought and risk of woodland fire as elsewhere in the country
