Reported via desktop in the Weed problem on the highway category anonymously at 07:39, Sunday 6 July 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7814905.

There is ragwort down both sides of Queen Catherine road and in the fields adjoining, this is causing a problem in my fields where I grass livestock. I am continually digging our the weed as it grows in my field.

Updates

  • A Highway Officer will carry out an inspection within the next 10 working days, some weeds due to their location may require a specialist equipment for safety reasons, if your Highway Officer is unable to clear the weeds on site, they will arrange for the specialist team carry out the work, which in some cases can take up to 28 days.

  • Work is in progress to tackle noxious weeds. Two cycles of noxious weed spraying will be carried out, followed by removal across the whole county at known noxious weed locations. Due to our limited budget, Buckinghamshire Highways will only treat noxious weeds on the public highway (roads and public rights of way that we maintain) and not private land or private routes. We treat noxious weeds as prescribed in the Weeds Act 1959.
