Cars parking too close to junction

Reported via desktop in the Parking in a restricted space category anonymously at 11:38, Wed 25 June 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 17 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 7761319.

At school drop off (~08:30) and pick up (~15:30-16:30) cars back up along this section of Babington Road at the junction with the busy Tring Road. This turns the bottom stretch of Babington Road into single lane traffic and is extremely dangerous when cars are turning off Tring Road, often at quite high speed. This also happens when other children walking to school are trying to cross this road. Double yellow lines are needed at this spot to make sure cars aren't parking dangerously close to the junction simply for their own convenience

Updates

  • This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.

Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
