Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding the poor maintenance of grass verges and borders along Bobmore Lane, Wycombe Road, and Elizabeth Road in the Marlow area. These areas have not been cut or maintained for some time, leading to excessively long grass and increased risk of hazards, particularly grass seeds. Unfortunately, this neglect resulted in a distressing and costly incident involving my dog, Mylo. While walking him in the vicinity of Bobmore Lane, he picked up a grass seed which subsequently became embedded in his ear canal. This caused significant discomfort and required urgent veterinary attention. Mylo had to be sedated to have the grass seed removed safely. For your reference, I have attached photographs of the veterinary receipt, confirming the treatment carried out on 19th June 2025 at Hall Place Veterinary Centre and the total cost of £451.12. I am bringing this matter to your attention in the hope that prompt action will be taken to address the condition of the grass borders in the affected areas. Proper and regular maintenance is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of both residents and their pets. Please confirm receipt of this letter and advise on any plans to address the issue.
