Bierton Road in between Chiltern Way Academy and No.1 Bierton Road. There is a brick wall with a very overgrown tree behind it..

Reported via desktop in the Flooding on a road/footpath category anonymously at 13:03, Tuesday 17 June 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7722849.

There is a brick wall between the school and the house No. 1 Bierton Road. Behind the wall there is a large tree and in front of the wall a large bushy load of weeds. There is water escaping what looks like under the wall and onto the pavement. It has got worse the past couple of weeks and now going into the road. I have asked the school and the house if this bit of land is anything to do with them and both say no, so I am now asking you if this is a bit of council land or does it belong to the water board

Updates

  • If the flooding is caused by a water leak we will report it to the relevant water company, who are responsible for water leaks.

There are occasions when flash flooding overloads the drain/gully, even when a drain/gully is clean and well maintained it can only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area, this generally clears away over a matter of hours.

The Highway Officer is only able to inspect the drain when the water has cleared away, this will be done within 10 days and if required, an order will be raised to clear the drain.
