Overgrown verges - Junction of Butlers Court Road and The A40 in Beaconsfield
Reported via mobile in the Grass cutting category by Andrew Webb at 09:30, Tuesday 17 June 2025
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7721217.
Almost impossible to see oncoming traffic if turning right out of Butlers Court Road onto the A40. This is already an accident hotspot without the added hazzard of overgrown verges. I want this report to be a warning to you “Buckinghamshire District Council” that if there is, god forbid, an accident caused by lack of visibility, I will hold you responsible. The council tax increases are consistently above cost of living increases year on year, yet some of the basic actions to keep our town tidy and safe are clearly been neglected. Please address this immediately before your lack of action results in someone getting badly injured or killed on that stretch of road.

Our Urban and Rural grass cutting schedules start in April each year and is delivered in collaboration with Parish Councils. Priority will be given to road junctions where clear visibility for Highway users is important. The Grass Cutting programme is split into 2 types, Urban and Rural cuts.
The works programme is weather dependant and subject to delays. We therefore ask that you remain patient should there be delays or excessive growth in-between cuts. Where strimming around obstacles like signposts is needed, this will happen within 3 days of the grass cutting in an area which may not happen at the same time.State changed to: Closed
