The hedge that runs most of the way along this part of Blacksmith lane has become very overgrown. My parents live down this lane and if my unwell mother needed an ambulance it would struggle to get down the lane to her house. My father has tried to complain to the council about this but the lady he spoke to hung up on him! My parents are struggling to access their drive in their cars due to the overgrown hedge. The school children use this lane as a cut through and it is becoming more difficult to get through the entrance to the lane at the Hildreth Road end. Many thanks.

All wild birds are protected. This includes their nests (whilst in use or being built) as well as any eggs the nest may contain. Under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 (as amended), it is an offence to:
- intentionally kill, injure or take any wild bird
- intentionally damage, destroy or take the nest of any wild bird while it is in use or being built (nests of golden eagle, white tailed eagle and osprey are protected all year round)
- intentionally destroy an egg of any wild bird
- intentionally or recklessly disturb certain wild birds or their dependent young while they are nesting (including disturbance of nesting young)
