74 High St, Princes Risborough HP27 0AX

Reported via Android in the Parking at a bus stop category anonymously at 13:32, Sun 15 June 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7712021.

Dear Buckinghamshire Council,

Am writing to report a concerning incident involving a DPD delivery vehicle that occurred on Friday, 13 June 2025 at 1:27 PM. The driver was observed parking on the bus stop directly outside 74 High Street, Princes Risborough (HP27 0AX).

Parking on a marked bus stop is both illegal and problematic for several reasons:

1. It disrupts public transport services, preventing buses from safely pulling in to pick up and drop off passengers.

2. It poses a safety risk, as it forces buses to stop in the road, potentially endangering passengers, other drivers, and pedestrians.

3. It undermines the purpose of designated bus stops, which are critical for maintaining reliable and accessible transport services, especially for elderly and disabled passengers.

Delivery drivers should not be using bus stops as temporary parking bays, even for a short time. I believe stronger enforcement and clearer signage or monitoring may help deter this behaviour.

Please could this issue be looked into and appropriate action considered?

Kind regards,

Updates
