The hedge overgrowth is making the use of the pavement virtually impossible. 2 owners of the hedge section have not cut their hedges despite this being a significant safety issue

2 hedge owners - nearest to the junction with Meadow cottages have not cut their hedge - this is causing a safety issue to all pedestrians now and cannot be allowed to continue. I understand you wrote to at least one of the private owners to cut their hedge in May- this hasn’t been actioned. Please can you follow up urgently it’s not safe, it’s a narrow pavement anyway, it’s near a bend in the road and it’s just steps away from the pre school.

All wild birds are protected. This includes their nests (whilst in use or being built) as well as any eggs the nest may contain. Under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 (as amended), it is an offence to:
- intentionally kill, injure or take any wild bird
- intentionally damage, destroy or take the nest of any wild bird while it is in use or being built (nests of golden eagle, white tailed eagle and osprey are protected all year round)
- intentionally destroy an egg of any wild bird
- intentionally or recklessly disturb certain wild birds or their dependent young while they are nesting (including disturbance of nesting young)
