Large Highway Rusty Frame

Reported via mobile in the Unauthorised signs category anonymously at 19:43, Sunday 1 June 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7646557.

The Frame has been propped up against a tree on the grass verge on approach to Junction 1 M40. The location is behind the barriers on the grass verge what looks like a public footpath. It is not National Highways Responsibility it is Buckinghamshire Council as this footpath runs parallel with the road which I believe is Southlands Road. Not sure why the highways team have not bothered to collect it , this is a waste of taxpayers money leaving highway signs after works.

Updates

  • The Highway Officer will attend the site plotted on the map and make arrangements for the unauthorised sign to be removed.

As part of our highway management strategy, unauthorised signs will be removed from the highway, removal will be prioritised according to highway safety, resource requirements and the interests of the community. The Council may exercise their discretion not to enforce in some situations (e.g., small scale charity events).

These signs will be held for 28 days and there will be a storage fee of the unauthorised signs that do not comply with this policy where applicable.
