Parking restriction sign leaning over by verge on Hale Lane

Reported via desktop in the Parking in a restricted space category by Alan Cooper at 08:24, Sunday 1 June 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 day, 3 hours, 42 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 7644711.

Sign is leaning over, with concrete base uprooted, immediately behind the verge which people used to use for parking. By the way, please would you also explain why the new restrictions have been put here and further along the lane because there are now double yellow lines for 2/3 of a mile with supporting no-waiting signage. This appears to restrict access to the countryside, especially for people in Wendover who have been restricted by other access to the countryside by HS2 work. Please explain the reasons for the Hale Lane restriction which seems heavy-handed compared to other locations close to popular footpaths and this seems to be in contradiction to freedoms of access and healthy recreation, particularly denying what was an excellent facility to dog-walkers, and its removal puts more strain on other locations despite the number of parking laybys being inadequate considering that the number of cars on roads is increasing so this seems to be a disproportionate action?
