Area on both sides outside Alton Mews

Reported via desktop in the Parking on a footpath category anonymously at 18:37, Tuesday 27 May 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7624679.

The parking along Gatehouse Way not only causes an obstruction but is dangerous to both pedestrians and other road users. To be able to walk up or down the pavement, or in my case use a wheelchair, I would have to go onto the road. This would be extremely dangerous. Cars are nose to bumper on the pavement both sides of the road. There have already been incidents when exiting Alton Mews. It is only a matter of time before a very serious incident occurs. We are told the road does not belong to the council. However, the council should approach the owner to address this. There are also cars parked there regularly that are not taxed. They are left there by local garages.

Updates

  • This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.

Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
