Subject: Complaint Regarding Road Water Flooding Driveway at 42 Beech Tree Road Holmer Green High Wycombe HP156UT
Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding a recurring issue of water from the road flooding the driveway of my property at, 42 Beech Tree Road Holmer Green, particularly during periods of moderate to heavy rainfall.
The drainage system on the road outside my home appears to be either insufficient or not functioning properly, as rainwater regularly flows from the road onto my driveway, accumulating and in some cases reaching the front of my property. This not only causes inconvenience and potential damage to my property, but also raises safety concerns for my young kids and my family and vehicles.
Despite efforts to manage the situation on my end, the root cause clearly lies with the infrastructure managed by the Council. I respectfully request that this issue be investigated at the earliest opportunity, and that any necessary maintenance or improvements to road in front of our House be carried out to prevent further flooding.
I would appreciate written confirmation that my complaint has been received and information on the next steps your department will take to address the matter. I am also happy to provide photographs or video evidence of the flooding should this assist your investigation.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and a resolution in due course.
Yours faithfully, Sushant Trivedi

If the flooding is caused by a water leak we will report it to the relevant water company, who are responsible for water leaks.
There are occasions when flash flooding overloads the drain/gully, even when a drain/gully is clean and well maintained it can only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area, this generally clears away over a matter of hours.
The Highway Officer is only able to inspect the drain when the water has cleared away, this will be done within 10 days and if required, an order will be raised to clear the drain.
