Rule 243 of the Highway Code states that you must not stop or park in a position that creates an obstruction or poses a danger. Parking on a bend can hinder visibility and increase the risk of accidents, especially for oncoming traffic.

    Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
