Overgrown hedges narrowing the pedestrian pavement

Reported via mobile in the Hedge problem category anonymously at 10:33, Wed 12 February 2025

Sent to Marlow Town Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7122680.

The hedges on the highway side of the property fence have been allowed to grow and spread so much over the years that they are now almost 3 foot deep (as the postbox, which originally was never enclosed by bushes, clearly shows) There is also a lamppost to the right of the post box which used to be accessible for maintenance but is not now due to the overgrowth. Highway agency recently trimmed the hedge here but the overgrowth and floor covering has narrowed the path so much that even now in winter it is only just passable for 1 person and unless it is taken back to the boundary before spring growth then it will force pedestrians onto the road. This path is used daily by school children going to and from GMS. Please can this get sorted before birds start nesting.
