The junction at Oakfield Road and the Tring Road

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights & crossings problems with timings category by Kathryn Alison Coleman at 17:48, Tuesday 28 January 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7048217.

I am contacting you regarding the sequencing of the traffic lights on Oakfield Road at the junction with Tring Road. I am so frustrated at the number of times l sit waiting to turn right onto the Tring Road whilst traffic from King Edward Avenue and the Tring Road (coming in to Aylesbury) continues. Last night the lights reverted back to King Edward Avenue four times whilst we were sat waiting. This obviously impacts on the traffic coming down from Tesco which often backs up past Majestic Wines. The pollution this causes, especially to the residents along there is appalling. Why can’t these lights follow a straightforward turn taking as they do at the Stocklake/Oakfield Road junction? It does happen occasionally but the majority of times it doesn't. I would appreciate your comments.
