Pedestrian crossing lights at lent rise railway bridge

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights & crossings problems with buttons, beep or lamps category anonymously at 17:18, Saturday 18 January 2025

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6999276.

The pedestrian crossing light buttons are stuck in crossing request mode (i.e. the lights around the request button are permanently lit and the red wait man light comes on immediately the crossing display stops showing a green man) on the hag hill lane side of the bridge. As the traffic lights get set to red in both directions to allow non-existent people to cross during every traffic light cycle this is slowing down the amount of traffic that can pass through the bridge increasing queues at busy times. Please address this issue so that the crossing request only happens when a pedestrian actually presses the button rather than all the time.
