Hi I'm a tourist in the area and have to say the A41 must be one of the dirtiest roads in the country. I've never seen so much rubbish in laybys and verges. Even the bins overflow. It looks like years of rubbish and it is a disgrace. Surely a clean once a year would help. To drive these roads daily must be overwhelmingly depressing. Can't you spare some staff to think about tackling this modern problem of plastic waste. Isn't it your duty to maintain and clean the network.

This has been passed to our Highways Team, who will carry out an inspection and arrange for the appropriate action to be taken.
Our priority is clearing the obstruction on the public highway to make it safe; this may mean that the fly tip is moved to the side of the road for a period of time before safe removal is arranged.
