Large amount of rubbish associated with food van and fly tippers

The current food van operator does not clear any rubbish and the mess is getting progressively worse. A word from an officer might have benefits

This has been passed to our Highways Team, who will carry out an inspection and arrange for the appropriate action to be taken.
Our priority is clearing the obstruction on the public highway to make it safe; this may mean that the fly tip is moved to the side of the road for a period of time before safe removal is arranged.
Please be assured we will come back and clear it as soon as possible.

Thank you for your report. Street scene can arrange for the layby to be litter picked and any fly tipped items will be removed. Street Scene don't have powers of enforcement so wont be able to address the issues caused by the food vendor, however if there is evidence that the waste is coming from the food vendor we can pass this on to enforcement.
