Reported via mobile in the Parking in a restricted space category anonymously at 09:30, Thursday 3 October 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6546047.

I am writing to you with concern about the amount of parents that are ‘dropping off’ their Children on the single yellow lines outside and opposite the school. This has hugely increased since the rainy weather, but along with the rain is reduced visibility for pupils and parents due to umbrellas hoods and the dull weather in general. This is a huge safety risk to the pupils, parents/carers. These drop offs are often rushed which is increasing the risk to that child of an accident. But mainly by parking on the yellow lines it blocks the view from the main crossing point that people use at the top of laxton road. President road vehicle users are often also in a rush as a they are school users too trying to get to school on time. I have seen two children been knocked over outside the school, at school time, by cars over the years and would hate for there to be any others. There was a parking warden a few weeks ago and the road was crystal clear, I appreciate parking wardens can’t be present on every rainy day but maybe some regular presence of a parking wardens at school pick up/drop off would keep pupils and parents/carers safe.
