Dangerous parking from taxis and parents collecting from Stony Dean School

Reported via desktop in the Parking in a restricted space category anonymously at 17:34, Mon 30 September 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6534859.

A new school year has started and within a matter of weeks taxis and parents are parking and queuing on Pineapple Road and Orchard End Avenue - residents parking only roads.

Today I have witnessed: Parental cars and taxis parked across the junction of Pineapple Road and Orchard End Avenue. One parent completely stopped at the top of Pineapple Road who didn't want to move - he was blocking the way into Orchard End Avenue. He eventually moved but was holding his phone and talking to someone whilst driving. The driver told me that the reason he was waiting at the junction of these two roads is because this is where cars queue to be let into the school - Another parent was bumped up on a grass verge A taxi parked up outside number 20 Pineapple Road Please tell me how any of the above is acceptable, Pineapple Road and Orchard End Avenue are residential roads and not a car park or race track for Stony Dean parents and taxis - please see the attached photos which were taken today at 14:50, half an hour before school finishes and it is clear that some had been parked there for some time.

We have contacted the school and they there is nothing they can do and we have to report the issue to the local authority and police.
