Dumped chair on the road outside house

Please can someone take it? This happens regularly as well along with car speeding on this road. Can anything be done to prevent it? CCTV?

  • This has been passed to our Highways Team, who will carry out an inspection and arrange for the appropriate action to be taken.

    Our priority is clearing the obstruction on the public highway to make it safe; this may mean that the fly tip is moved to the side of the road for a period of time before safe removal is arranged.

    Please be assured we will come back and clear it as soon as possible.

  • Update - Your report regarding the dumped chair has been passed to our Fly Tipping team for investigation. Please see information below on support available to cars speeding along the road.

    Thames Valley Police (TVP) is responsible for all enforcement of traffic laws, which includes speeding and dangerous driving, please contact them on their non-emergency number 101.

    TVP run a 'Community Concern' scheme where requests from the public about speeding are considered for enforcement.

    Community Speedwatch (CSW)..

    Is a national initiative where members of local communities work with their local police to record details of speeding vehicles using approved detection devices. Registered keepers of vehicles exceeding the speed limit are contacted initially with a letter explaining the potential risks and consequences of their speeding. Repeat offenders will receive a visit from the local police, irrespective of where they live.
