The hill leading down to Candlemas Mead

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6441074.

The gullies are all blocked all the way down meaning that with today's rain our property once again became flooded.

The surface water was just "skimming over the gullies" as they are all blocked and the road yet again...yes yet again became flooded at the bottom of the hill outside number 1,2 &3.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can you come and suck the gullies out, there are only a few.

It will stop our properties from flooding.

Please please help us....it's runs down into our back garden through the alleyways and our drives are under water.

  • If the flooding is caused by a water leak we will report it to the relevant water company, who are responsible for water leaks.

    There are occasions when flash flooding overloads the drain/gully, even when a drain/gully is clean and well maintained it can only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area, this generally clears away over a matter of hours.

    The Highway Officer is only able to inspect the drain when the water has cleared away, this will be done within 10 days and if required, an order will be raised to clear the drain.
