Overgrown Hedges & Weeds

Reported via desktop in the Hedge problem category anonymously at 16:50, Fri 9 August 2024

Sent to Penn Parish Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6337512.

The overgrown hedges & weeds outlining roads connecting Winchmore Hill between Amersham (along Whielden Lane) & to Coleshill (Coleshill Lane) need to be urgently addressed. It is extremely dangerous to traffic & residents. Hedges & weeds are severely overgrown causing roads to become single file, buses unable to fit down roads and cars cannot see round corners safely. Bus stops cannot be used as the weeds are so significant. Public footpaths around the surrounding area cannot be used either. I am having to walk on the road to a useable bus stop along Whielden Lane where traffic cannot see me due to the overgrown hedging which is extremely unsafe. We pay significant council tax to live in this area & money is clearly not being spent to upkeep local footpaths / roads. My council tax in London was the same value and the upkeep was far greater. I have lived in Winchmore Hill for 8 months and this has been the case since I've been here & these public areas are yet to be touched by the council.
