Japanese Knotweed on Highway verge

Reported via desktop in the Hedge problem category anonymously at 15:46, Thu 1 August 2024

Sent to Chesham Town Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6304180.

Japanese Knotweed There is a large clump of Japanese knotweed in the roadside verge opposite the Eastern entrance to Ivy House Farm off Latimer Rd (100 yards left at the bottom of Blackwell Hall Lane). The grid reference for the site is SU 98058 99440. Google map pin - https://maps.app.goo.gl/ fomynDsxMCx1pSW97. What3words ///cool.affair.deputy.

The provided photographs were taken from the driveway entrance, next to a house sign 'cloisters'.

The knotweed is overhanging the river and will drop its seeds into the River Chess, which may cause the seed to spread downstream to other parts of the river.

My previous report of this issue had the reference number is 6181095
