Hedge encroaching way into road

Reported via mobile in the Hedge problem category by Councillor David Tryon at 15:49, Fri 19 July 2024

Sent to Seer Green Parish Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6250788.

The hedge all along the western side of Bottom Lane (from the bend in the road by the footpath/parking spot near the bottom all the way up to the junction with Orchard Road) is encroaching a long way into the road which is making it difficult for vehicles to pass each other. This morning I twice saw vans having to mount the verge on the opposite side to the hedge to pass each other. This is damaging the verge but is also dangerous given how close they are to each other and the tendency of some drivers not to slow down in spite of the encroaching hedge. The hedge needs to be cut back as a matter of urgency as it is encroaching further and further into the road each day as it continues to grow.
