Lower Road incorrectly placed yellow roadside advance notice boards regarding 2 week road closure

There is a forthcoming 2 week closure of a section of Lower Road, from 29 July - 9 August, permit number KA241NEGGZ5LOWERROADA55. The advance notice yellow boards that have been placed roadside, are incorrectly at either end of wrong section of Lower Road. In the photo the current position of the boards is shown with purple crosses. This is extremely misleading. The actual section of Lower Road that will be closed, requires a long detour.

    Photo added 21 July showing one of the wrongly positioned signs. This sign is incorrecly placed at the junction of Lower Road and Woodway.

  • The incorrectly placed signs were not repositioned until the date that the actual work commenced. That work has now been completed and all "Road Closure" signs have been removed. The "wrong" information was displayed regarding a potentially serious road closure. I am surprised that my report did NOT result in remedial action. Thank you
