Jct of Penn Drive and Tilehurst Way

Reported via desktop in the Parking in a restricted space category anonymously at 06:02, Tuesday 25 June 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6149950.

This 35t Lorry parks here most nights Monday to Thursday. He does not park outside his own house because the neighbours complain. The lorry takes up half the width of the road. He often parks close to the junction. It is an accident waiting to happen. I have seen dog walkers almost run over as they cross Penn Drive, cars tend to turn into Penn Drive cutting the corner. On some bad days, there are cars parked opposite 1 and 3 Penn Drive and that means with this lorry it is single-lane traffic from Ashcroft Drive right up to Tilehurst Way. I have complained to the DVSA and to my local councillor who was pretty much ineffective. The lorry is an eyesor, is dangerous and people actually knock on my door complaining. One day there will be crash or even worse a pedestrian run over because of the parking of this lorry here overnight
