On both corners of the pavement where Pheasants Drive, Hazlemere, High Wycombe, joins Hill Avenue.

Reported via mobile in the Parking on a footpath category anonymously at 19:11, Sat 22 June 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6141164.

There are always cars parked on both the pavement bends linking Pheasants Drive and Hill Avenue. Residents of Pheasants Drive clearly think it is okay to park on and block a footpath. It is NOT. There is often more than one vehicle parked, seemingly when several people at one address own a car each. If a family owns more cars than will fit on their own driveway, they should get rid of the excess vehicles, not assume they have a right to park them on the public pavement. They do NOT. They do not even think of parking them on the road, but head straight for the pavements. They are a seemingly unchallenged blight on the neighbourhood, and should have been prosecuted years ago. (Sorry, no photos, as I left my phone at home by mistake.)

Updates

  • This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.

Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
