AVDC shrub over growing onto land of 1 Love Row

Reported via mobile in the Hedge problem category by Jodi Smith at 16:33, Thu 20 June 2024

Sent to Drayton Parslow Parish Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6133766.

Hi,

There is a shrub bush that grows behind my garden (land of 1 Love Row, Drayton Parslow, MK17 0JN). It is a very happy and healthy flowering bush growing on land owned and managed by AVDC. Since living in my property for three years, it has never been maintained by the council, so you probably don’t know about it. Two years ago, I cut it back myself because it was growing over the fence, creating too much shade and encroaching on my washing line. I now have a baby and I am no longer in a position to maintain the height and growth of the AVDC shrub myself. I am tired of the pollen from the flowers dirtying my laundry when I hang it out to dry. I can no longer spin my rotary washing line because the bush gets in the way and my clothes take longer to dry because of the sunlight being blocked out. Please can you attend to this beautiful shrub growing on council land. Please can you tell me when you will have cut it right back by? I have looked on land registry, it’s definitely growing on AVDC land. I attach photos so you can visually see why your shrub needs cutting back.

Thanks, Jodi
